Habe nicht erwartet, dass ich hier eine Kunstgalerie zu finden würde. It’s again Saturday to explore Berlin. While it’s still hot and sunny, I wanted to visit Grunewald. I left early as I could, but there was so many temptation on the way. I began to crave for Khinkali while waiting to change trains in Charlottenburg, so went to a Georgian restaurant nearby which just opened for the day. So many good restaurants in this area. If it wasn’t for the work, I would have really enjoyed living in this side of the city. Also spotted the hostel I spent my first night in Berlin 7 years ago, maybe this is why I find this district special. Then I got off at Olympia station, so I just to go see this famous stadium built by the third Reich. Thought it was stupid thing to pay entrance fee to check out a stadium, Colosseum is an exception, so will have to return for Hertha BSC bundesliga match when the next season starts. The way to Grunewald was very enjoyable, it was like the Hampsted Heath of Berlin, yet couldn’t believe how no human being was found along the way to the top. Guess this is not the path most tourists take, considering most locals are out of town. I was just gonna cut across the park, all the way to the s-bahn station on the other side, then I saw an entrance to the fenced area with a masseuse, so thought there must be something worth seeing inside. Stopped by KaDeWe on the way back home, and finally picked up a new suitcase. My first purchase with a newly arrived German credit card I got yesterday. Hope I don’t find myself heading to Schöneberg every weekend. (at Teufelsberg Berlin)
