toller Service, ich liebe diesen Buchladen
Neunter Tag in Berlin
My laptop has finally arrived. Another MacBook, the 13 inch one. Along with the 15 inch MacBook Pro I leased from my brother in law, I somehow ended up with three macbooks of different sizes & different keyboard layouts. I should specified when I was asked, but the laptop came with a wireless keyboard, both happen to be the UK layout. How considerate for the company to not give me the German one with short keys for umlauts(ä,ö,ü) & ß, but I had to remap the keypad to US layout anyway.
The equipment was all set to go in 2 hours, but it turns out that none of my accounts was setup. For this relatively large company of almost 2000 employees, it seems hat I may be the one of the first contractors they’ve hired as they seem to have a policy for not giving temporary email accounts for consultants. Well anyhow, I got to do a little Kore productive stuff than the previous days, and I will at least be setup before the Easter break.
Last night I bought a ticket for my Easter break. I was looking for a cheap ticket to a country I have not been before for 4 days. While there are not that many flight connections to neither Tegel nor Schonefield, every place due to peak holiday season seemed too expensive to travel to except for one I never thought about visiting. I know nothing about this town yet, but this is something I got used to and even began to enjoy: no expectations, giving myself a total surprise. (at Dussmann das KulturKaufhaus)
