Amongst the most developed, but also the most polluted resort area I’ve seen in Southeast Asia. No place is perfect๐ค
51. Nha Trang, Vietnam
What surprised me the most about Nhatrang upon my arrival was how developed the place is compared to Danang and the vast number of Russian tourists. As often as one would come across a sign written in Korean in Danang, one would find useful to read some Cyrillic in order to identify a pharmacy or massage parlour. And also lots of Chinese were present as usual. If North Koreans were well off to make presence here instead of their southern neighbors, this could have turned into the commie version of we are the world. Also whereas Danang felt more like in process of development, the beachfront was scarcely filled with boutique hotels surrounded by construction zones, there are countless high-end hotels in Nhatrang offered at massive discount due to oversupply. It was different kind of beach, different atmosphere, more enjoyable in some aspects, but more suitable for family travels. Perhaps I will return one day to take my kids to Vinpearl Land, who knows. One more night in Vietnam, then I’m out.
