While there were hundreds of other great photos taken while on this island, having this view in front of my bure right by the beach was the most pleasant part of my time here.
33. Drawaqa Island, Fiji
This Island is a truly a paradise. Isolated from the world, even though there was limited internet access, almost feeling like stranded on no man’s island with about 30 other travellers, along with twice the number of staff serving every part of needs from cooking to scuba diving instructor. This certainly seemed to be the kind of place I would want to spend time with my special someone. But for honeymoon, French Polynesia would bring better comfort for the newly weds.
As much as I enjoyed every single minute on this island, it also got me reminiscent of the past times, which began since I was on Milford Track. Have I made a mistake of lifetime? The kind of person I have been wanting to spend my lifetime with had been around for quite a long time, perhaps patiently waiting for my lead for years. For the whole time I was here, I dreamt of how nice it would be if I could have her back next to me right here, right now. It may take another decade or even longer to come across an acquaintance as such, but until then, confidence in my fate seems to fade slowly.
