7. Larnaca, Cyprus
So it seems like everyone visiting Cyprus is nowhere but here. Every place is so vibrant, somewhat crowded, gives that lively feeling of festive season that the year end is approaching. Another country divided under two regimes, there were signs everywhere that Cyprus is economically stagnant, but one thing I really appreciated while here was their Greek sense of Xenia, the sense of hospitality showing how to treat guests. Every hotel has given me a warm welcome with free drinks, not that free booze is ma big deal, it just feels nice when hosts offer something unconditionally.
