Bad timing, terrible weather but attained a great photo in return
4. Tel Aviv, Israel๐ฎ๐ฑ
Thought whatever I write may imply disapproval & anger towards the state, but I’m glad that I have deferred myself from doing so. After another prolonged interrogation by a few inquisitive women, I’m now back in the free lands. Took four women this time, I wonder if there is an escalation procedure at the pre-security line that if the first woman is unsure to let me through or not, asks her superior to step in. So this time, I was asked for an alternative ID, my next destination, why I went to Malaysia & Indonesia, how many times, when (who the fck remembers exact dates of travels), my job, residence, if I had a bad time in Israel, all these seemingly irrelevant questions one would only get asked as a prisoner. Perhaps my dampened passport & not so resembling photo also contributed to it, but this is scrutinizing far beyond the limits, 100x my annoyance than when I left Cuba or Ukraine. This puts Israel in my bottom three. Yet I had a pretty decent time in Tel Aviv, especially food & hotel service was amazing. Perhaps I should have stayed there a little longer to cut down on any more reasons to revisit, or next time a brand new passport with no previous stamps, even more lightly packed could do.
