Day 47 Siem Reap
Insect kebab! Tarantula head was my favourite, so tender and juicy. I heard about how insects are popular amongst the locals and easily found in street markets. After suffering travelers diarrhea in Bali, I felt less compelled to try them as Siem Reap was most unhygienic town I have so far been to, but when I found a French fusion restaurant that specializes in blending exotic local ingredients, I decided to give it a try. On beginner’s sampler plate were cricket, silkworm, Waterbury, grasshopper, redants, feuilletes with ants & the highlight, tarantula๐ท Not sure if I wanna try them again, but it was certainly one heck of experience.
