Day 46 Siem Reap
Too big for a single traveler. Didn’t take living cost different into consideration when I booked the hotel in Siem Reap, so when I simply picked the one in the same budget range as I have paid in the previous places, I end up with a suite too big for an occupant traveling with a small backpack. It was a fine colonial house with kitchen in which even a washing machine was installed. It was comfy as I could wish for, but I decided to check out and move to a cheaper accommodation after two nights. By this time, I have developed a sound method in choosing accommodation, book a place at convenient location for the first two nights, then extend or move to another after having been acquainted with the city. I may lose half a day checking out and in, re-packing but at least I am not stuck with a room unsatisfactory for the entire duration. More of a safety measure.
