Day 34 Ubud
Last day in Ubud and the last day in Bali! By this day, I’ve figured I had spent enough time in Balo and done everything Bali has to offer that is attractive, so finally time to move on. But not quite, saw everyone here talking about Gili islands so that couldn’t be missed. Now looking back, I wonder why I don’t simple take a boat to Gili Trawangan but all the horror stories about these boats violating safety standards and sinking in the middle of the sea put me off. So I decide to take a rather long way around. First take a bus back to Kuta, these Kura Kura buses were not as punctual as I thought, so I found myself standing waiting in front of the gate of seemingly the best resort in Ubud. When the security guards spotted me, he called a manager who came out to ask me if I would like to wait at the lobby. What a nice gesture by all the staff, I hope their goodwill have won one more prospective customer in the future. It seemed like another amazing place I’d like to stay on my next visit to Bali. Took a flight to Lombok, then spent a night at the hotel next to the airport.
