Day 44 Langkawi
There seems to be two kinds of beaches around the world, one that never gets boring and one in which I would feel so isolated that I wanna get out asap. Unfortunately Langkawi was the later for me. There was a fine beach, plenty of restaurants & bars, a flood of tourists from China, yet I felt bored after a day, something we as missing. Maybe the high prices or family tour groups put me off. I bought a pair of aqua shoes, which added an extra kilo I headed to carry for six months following. What was worse is that I only really needed them in Frnch Polynesia, it would have been handy in Lombok which I had already left behind. The lesson again is only carry what is absolutely necessary. Perhaps I should have threw it away along the way.
