Day 17 Kuta
Magical view of the sky and nature’s blending…
After about a week in Bali, I had regained my strength, overcame travellers diarrhea, done surfing, it seemed like about time to move onto the next place. The natural choice for the next stop seemed like Ubud, the only question was when. Since Wanda’s invitation to the exclusive beach party sounded like a rare opportunity, I decided I would extend my stay in Kuta for one more night. I spent the day strolling around the unexplored areas, amazed just about how much tourism investment had poured into this little strip of land, so many shopping malls, countless hotel rooms, it was only two weeks later I saw the contrast, realising how the natives living standards outside of this man built paradise.
