So eine schöne Stadt, gut restauriert #dresden
Every city I visit in Germany has a story to tell, since there is not one major city which could have avoided the fate being bombarded. Dresden in particular was the one severely damaged more so than others, which makes me wonder what was the allies after when they completely destroyed this cultural city. The Soviets would have liked to bring down the country to the point where Germany would never recover to be a threat again, but did the western forces share the same sentiment? Glad many of these monuments are restored to its prewar state instead of overrun by a completely new urban planning. (at Dresdner Zwinger)
