Day 6 Trincomalee
Second day in the eastern coast of Sri Lanka, we decided to take a boat trip to the nearby Pigeon Island along with a Belgian couple who were staying the next door. While the Thai girl traveling with me at the time kept complaining the place is not up to standards of Thailand, it was still fairly unspoilt place. At least I got to see baby sharks and turtles while snorkeling. Guess it’s just matter of time this country turns into another Thailand or Bali. The Belgian dude said Ela and Arugam Bay were his two favourite spots, neither of which I visited. Oh well, for another time (at Pigeon Island National Park)
