Ein weiterer Wochenendausflug zu nahegelegenen Naturattraktionen
#harz #brocken #badharzburg
Looking back to my travels in the past years, evident it seems that hiking is amongst my favourites whhen it comes to choice of excursions. Getting lost in the natural wanders is something I rarely get tired of. Last I had been templed out, museum-ed, pagoda-ed, churched, perhaps even safari-ed out, but not with mountains. It is something unique in each place I visit thanks to the vast diversity of our planet. As usual the train departing Berlin got delayed once again, taking me to Bad Harzburg more than an hour behind schedule, I wasn’t sure if I could make it to the too, Brocken with the forecasted storm on its way. After hiding in a shelter for about half an hour, I continued walking, luckily with the entire mountain breathing like more alive, the cooled down mother earth made it much easier and pleasant to hike my way up.
On the way to Bad Harzburg, I saw the case majority getting off at Gosla, which turns out to be amongst the favourite little towns for the visitors local and abroad. While it’s is sensible to begin my local exploration with the major cities nearby, I should also visit these hidden charms. In England, I had enjoyed much more the relatively unknown small towns than the touristic cities. Now that I know myself better, time to follow my instincts. (at Harz National Park)
