A rather quiet weekend with a lot of spare time in hand. Finally went to the local swimming pool today. The facilities were much better than I thought, almost felt like a water themed park. Also surprised to see diversity of ethnic groups, mostly the women in burkinis chasing after kids. There was even a woman in hijab by the entrance asking for cash so her kids can enjoy the pool. Unsure whether she should be praised for her deeply dedication towards her children’s leisure, but guess that’s also a part of cultural difference I should try to understand.
Also finally watched Three Billboards outside Ebbing Missouri. What’s up with all the highly acclaimed films of this decade? Maybe I have trouble following the trend; great character development but unresolved plot ending leaves me at mixed feelings. Something reminded me of Manchester by Sea. Anyhow multitude of inputs from different media seem to make my philosophy even more convoluted than ever.
Got a few things which I kept sitting in my backlog for awhile, none of which I managed to resolve. Early annual returns so the revenue & customs doesn’t chase me for the taxes I am liable for, some website updates, poster design for the upcoming concert, this never ending self imposed loop of what could be trivial things… (at Molecule Man (sculpture))
