Been a great time in Georgia for which I’m very grateful for. Defo would like to return here on another occasion though I must admit it rarely happens.

Returned to Berlin today, and it feels good to be back. I don’t yet feel like this is my home city, but I’m sure it will change over time. The only I’d complain on this trip is the flight time. With 06:35 departure, the taxi company insisted that I get picked up at 3:30. I went to bed at 2am last night, so what do I do? I stay up for extra few hours. Turn out there were 4 more passengers to be picked up, so we had to wait for another car to pick us up, ended up taking an hour to get to the airport. Without baggage, I could only buy some wine at the airport, but everything else was a lot more expensive with price tags in Euros. As seen over and over, the currency matters & affects consumers’ perception on prices. The plane was packed with mostly Georgians & even some Armenians; it was a bit annoying to be seated next to these overexcited Georgia youngsters; nevertheless, I did manage to sleep throughout the journey in upright position. Also a good thing that immigration control had a separate line for the EU passports as the line for the rest hardly moved.

Was greeted by Erik & Brigitte upon return to Moabit, we got to have brunch together. After a long nap, we went to this old style kino called Kulturfabrik to watch the Big Lebowski. Very retro atmosphere where the staff constantly came into refill the wood burning fireplace next to the screen. Seems like the spring is around the corner in Berlin too; looking forward to the start of my second week! (at Bagrati Cathedral)
