Kiev

2012 Kiev
Kiev, Ukraine
2-6 March 2012

Kiev, in short: Kiev is a giant city with very attractive women; however, it is very hard to get around without knowing Russian or Ukrainian, and locals can seem somewhat unfriendly and ignorant. Just like any other European cities, it is best to be visited during summer

Budget (UAH Ukranian Hryvnia)
Lodge: a private bedroom at around €20
Meal: €10 for a decent meal/€5 value
Total spending: roughly €35/day

Phrases
спасибо (spasibo, thank you)
извините (izvinite, excuse me, sorry)
пожалуйста (pozalooysta, please)

Though Ukrainian is the official language spoken in Kiev, Russian is widely spoken (I am still not sure the difference between the two), and knowing some basic Russian really helps one to go around. Because traveling requires reading various signs, here are few of Cyrillic alphabets frequently seen.
