46. Hanoi, Vietnam
So back in Vietnam in 6 years. In fact, Vietnam was my first country to visit in Southeast Asia, thereby the one that gave me the cultural shock than its neighbors. On my first visit, I was shocked to find out how much I could do with mere £10, probably not worth that much, but still economical place to spend holidays.
One of the main reasons to leave Thailand via Penang was to take a direct flight here, but didn’t realize how early the flight was. Arrived around 8am, with two full days of nothing planned, it still felt quite a hassle to walk around while all these motorbikes pass by honking continuously. But I just had to visit this city for once, and would rather do while young.
