I have sailed the world, beheld its wonders. From the dardanelles, to the mountains of peru, but there’s no place like london๐ต
No, there really is no place like London. Especially after living in Berlin for a month now, I have came to truly appreciate so many things London has got to offer; many of the things I used to complain here are omnipresent. Even the city a few consider to be the center of Europe doesn’t seem to come anywhere near when the scale or number of opportunities are concerned.
Got to do everything I came here for the Sorted out administrative stuff, done some shopping, enjoyed London Marathon, had great time catching up with folks from the past, went on a date, observed the ceremony of the keys at the Tower Hill. Somewhere inside, however, I feel more puzzled than ever because I believe life is not all about taking actions exactly as one has planned to do. (Or have I grown accustomed to having spontaneity, that I constantly demand surprises?) I have pretty much accomplished everything I had set out to do five years ago, and I couldn’t have asked myself for better, but once in a while, I wonder if I’m heading towards a path I truly believe in. Seeing more & finding solutions often leads to more questions, which feels frustrating at times, but I hope this is another step towards increased satisfaction of life in general & allow some to reach for something of higher value.
