Nicht schlecht Wetter heute😸
So as planned, had two interviews today, one with the folks in Berlin & the other with Malmö. Didn’t realize both of them (on Hangout & Skype) would require video turned on. Otherwise I would have taken a cold shower to ensure my sleepy eyes are thoroughly open, as the morning call had me on a giant tv screen. Well, to my relief, both interviews went fairly smooth, no tricky technical questions, almost seemed too easy, maybe these Swedes have a way of assessment or just pure polite. The company in Berlin also happens to be a Swedish company & the other two are very obvious names when one thinks of Sweden🛋🚚 Unfortunately I haven’t heard back from either of them on the same day, so hopefully by tomorrow I will know where to fly to. Still gotta figure out where I’m gonna sleep tomorrow..
Went out to Chris’s leaving party in the evening. It was real nice to see all those old faces & connect with the past memories. Not everywhere I get to do that. Also admirable how one can work at the same place for seven years, but I suppose that is how most people made their living back in the days. Feel grateful to have born at the right time, almost right place.
It often surprises me how many people are reading my posts, from old neighbors to the guy interviewing me for a job. Perhaps I should be careful of what I write, but again to the millennial perspective, what’s the point of writing if I’m not gonna be transparent? Even for Humbert in the book I’m currently reading, the events following discovery of his diary worked in his favor although he burned it later. Got too many servers to take down in my case, but thankfully I believe I have rather conventional taste in sex.
Glad that I don’t have much to pack so I can defer it to tomorrow morning. At one point I felt like I had all three offers in hand, but now I feel mentally prepared to accept any circumstances. Uncertainty is tiring. (at Chiswick, United Kingdom)
