Donostia(San Sebastián) to Biarritz

While there are multiple ways to get from San Sebastián to Biarritz or vice-versa, by means of public transportation, there are two which I am going to explain below.

Donostia(San Sebastián)

1. Regional bus(ALSA) to Biarritz/Bayonne

Duration: 1h
Cost: €10+1
According to ALSA website, there are only two buses departing at 7am and 12:30.


2. Local train(Euskotren) to Hendaye(Hendaia), then local bus service to Biarritz bus station
Duration: 1h30 to 3h
Cost: €1.70 for train, €3+1 for bus
This is both cheaper and more flexible option as the local transportation services from both sides run more frequently. Euskotren runs a serice to Hendaia almost every 30 minutes, whereas the bus schedule can be found on the right.

Lastly, the regional bus stop in Biarritz is far out from the city centre; therefore, another bus ride will be usually required with an extra cost of €1. Take A1 or 14 depending on whether you get off at by the train station or airport, respectively. Both routes run every 20-25 minutes.
