My new collection, no more scarves for this winter... |
Yesterday, I went out for a shopping (again) and bought a pair of ties and silk scarves. For ties, I have always sticked with half or full Windsor knot; however, with these scarves, there are just tons of ways to "wear" it. In order to better express my fashion, I thought why don't give myself some lessons on how to do more than just wrapping it around my neck or tying it with the ends. I am trying to come up with my own way to twist it a little and make up my own variation. I would like to link some of the well-known knot types I like, not only to remind myself to try them, but also to provide simple in-a-minute tutorials for the visitors.
- Classic British style most widely used
- Roll twice suitable for freezing windy weather
- French style fashionable for use with cashmere or silk scarfs
- Club knot old school style
- Non-knot tie same as for neck-ties, rather suitable for a thin, long scarf
- Variation of roll twice pretzel looking
As this is the most popular post, directed from Google search consistently, I figured I need to provide more than just ones in my interest. Past few weeks' top search queries stat from Google Webmaster Tools indicates that almost a quarter of search queries that refer to this site was indeed "howto tie a tie", which displays a link to this page, already listed at 8th.
