Fashion market takeover

I never thought McDonalds would sell this hotspot. It had long been a famous meeting spot for people gathering at Apgujeong and even symbol or landmark of this town. Also, it probably was meaningful to McDonalds as being first franchise location in Korea.Nonetheless, I think it serves a deeper meaning though. The fact that UNIQLO took over this building shows their huge investment plan to take over the fashion market in Korea. It has already seen huge success in London and many other locations, and many of the Japanese apparel brands and designers stand at the top of world fashion trend. Clearly, Korean fashion brands fall behind the others in style, neither they are any affordable. Recently, Banana Republic also opened their first retail store nearby. Two major clothing chains, which have comparable advantages in both style and price, set their starting points at ideal locations. Soon, I have a feeling that Zaraand H&M will announce their arrival as well. Will this signal huge market loss for domestic brands such as Giordano or whatever that still remains on the Rodeo Drive? Will Korean people dress more nicely as result of this takeover?맥도날드가 팔려버리다니..ㅠㅠ 이젠 햄버거사러 길건너가야하자낭! 그나저나 Zara는 언제들어오나??
